1. Coulson is located on the outskirts of Greater London, most people have a garden and gardens are one of the top targets for criminals looking to make easy money. Garden can contain valuable items such as gardening tools, child toys, power tools, bikes etc. One way you can help keep the burglar out is by growing thorny plants and bushes on the borders of your garden, this will act as a great deterrent, stopping burglars from climbing over your fence while also giving them less places to hide.
2. Sheds and out buildings are often targeted by criminals as they can potentially contain valuable items and are often easy to access. You need to ensure any windows of your shed and outbuildings are covered,stopping people from seeing the contents of the building. The less they see the less they will be enticed to break an entry. 
3. British Standard locks need to be a minimum in all houses. Currently they are not, with many homes being equipped with low security locks which are easy to bypass. British standard locks can be identified by the British Standard kite mark usually seen on the faceplate of the lock. Locks which meet British Standards have been built to a higher specification compared to locks which are not. British standard locks are recommended by the Police and insurance companies alike.
